I know what you’re all thinking, the Rio Olympics 2016 isn’t for another 3 years. Well you know what, those 3 years will come fast! On Monday, August 12th, it will be 1 year since the London Olympics 2012 ended. See – where did the time go? I was just watching our American gymnasts win all those medals and cheering USA on.
I want to go to Brazil for the Olympics and I’m hoping to make it happen! Join me in 3 years on the Copacabana Beach (yes I already know the area I want to stay in).
Doesn’t this famous beach look gorgeous!
Rio Olympics 2016 begin August 5th 2016 and runs throughout August 21, 2016 in the Rio de Janeiro area of Brazil.
If you come – and you should go even just for the experience of both the Olympics and Brazil and the parties – you will need to book your flights about 11 -10 months in advance. Boom so it’s really only 2 years away for planning. Airlines usually offer flights 330 days into the future, so looks like September 2015 you should start loooking for flights to secure a seat. The closer it gets to the games, the more expensive flights and hotels will get. Mark your calendars and save up those frequent flyer miles!
I’ll provide more information closer to 2015 for planning this trip.
