Hi fellow New Yorkers!
It’s time to plan a getaway and learn of other destinations in the world to visit as you attend these upcoming travel events available to us. Let’s cut the routine spots we always return to and try something new. There’s three events occurring in March 2014 , and maybe you will even book a trip on the spot…
1. Women’s Travel Fest – Hosted by Go!Girl Guides
The Women’s Travel Fest is being held for the first time and is created by my editor at Go!Girl Guides – Kelly Lewis. I write for her website and will be volunteering at the event.
It is being held on Saturday, March 8th from 10am-6:30pm. It’s main focus is to inspire women to travel and of course help us bond and learn more from each other.
There will be speakers and presentations focusing on womens’ travel, solo travel, safety, volunteer travel, budget travel and lots more.

2. New York Times Travel Show
This show occurs on two days – Saturday March 1st and Sunday March 2nd for the public. It has been running for some years now and includes presentations, travel seminars, food tasting and destinations come to advertise and give out information. There’s a family fun zone if you’re bringing children.
At this show, you can book trips there on the spot. Here’s the link for tickets and more information – http://www.nyttravelshow.com/General-Information-7253.html
3. Long Island Travel Expo
This expo occurs in Long Island, NY as well as Philadelphia and New Jersey. The Long Island date is Sunday, March 23rd. It’s a free expo where many destinations come to show what they got. There’s prizes and contest you can enter and receive discounts on trips. There’s a free vacation given away every hour! There’s not any schedule on the travel seminars and who is speaking, but it is mentioned that experts do come.
