One of the activities I HAD to do on my trip to Australia, was walk the Coastal Walk from Bondi to Coogee. It’s a paved out walk along the cliffs overseeing the beaches. It passes 5 beaches after Bondi and could take up to 3 hours long if you go to the end – depending on how fast you walk. I made it a little more than half way to Clovelly beach. The views were amazing since you’re on the cliffs, walking up stairs, and the coast keeps curving. I stopped at every beach on the way but Clovelly looked like a pool at first. It does have a small sand patch to lay out on and it turned out to be the best for snorkeling! There’s almost no waves and a world of corals underneath you.
The beginning of the walk in those cliffs all the way out there – view from Bondi.
Part of the walk
Don’t be scared – you have to walk through an open cemetary. No I’m not joking.
Clovelly Beach – no surfing here! Snorkel time
Clovelly again as you enter – pool right?
I have to recommend the walk, even if you can’t go the whole way! I stopped to take lots of pictures on the way, so going back is always faster. Watch out for runners and take dips in between beaches to cool off. You will work up a sweat.
