When it comes to visiting Maldives, scuba diving is ranked just as high on my list as are the accommodations.
For those of us who dive on the regular, you can’t go to Maldives and not dive. It is one of the best diving destinations in the world! Sharks, manta rays, schools of fish, and the coral – it is all there.
When it comes to planning your trip, you will have only one dive shop to choose from in Maldives, based on your resort. The resorts either have a dive shop on site, or have one in close proximity to service the guests. Many islands in Maldives share the same dive shop and have set partnerships with them.
Euro Divers operates 10 dive shops in Maldives that service several resorts. They also are Worldwide, and have dive centers in other continents.
Sharing time between diving and other activities, I scheduled myself to go on 5 dives while in Maldives. We dove the Colosseum, Stairs, and Aquarium. All sites are huge that you can go for more than one dive at each site.
The consensus between I and my husband is that it was the best diving yet! It was A LOT better than the Great Barrier Reef.
We saw all sorts of fish and marine life. We had sharks on every single dive. One time, we saw a “big” shark in a cave. We could not see it’s tail therefore we estimated it to be around 14 feet long maybe? Manta rays and sea turtles were in abundance as were eels and other fish.
Diving with Euro Divers was super easy too! The staff brought all your gear down for you and back up to the Wet Room. They did the rinsing and drying. They helped change your tanks in between two tank dives. I had never experienced such service anywhere else and honestly went to change a tank after a staff member had already done so. I didn’t even realize or expect it!
The staff were all friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Their dive site briefings were clear and I felt comfortable all the way. At the end of our trip, we all met up for dinner, drinks, and a Disco night.
Would I dive with Euro Divers again? Absolutely. My first experience with them was great so I hope to book with them in another location in the future!
This post was written in sponsorship with Euro Divers where I dove for no charge. The fish all came on their own and all opinions are my own. The sharks must really like them too! A huge thanks to Euro Divers for a safe and fun diving experience in Maldives!
