If you love waterfalls, then you can take a quick trip to Bridal Veil Falls.
As a quick trip from Salt Lake City and even quicker from Park City, this 607-foot tall is easy to find and not that hard to climb.
I visited Salt Lake City in the summer, which was a great time to go. It wasn’t too hot in the day and the nights cooled down.
I and my friends rented a car to drive around and explore some sites. The sun was out, we had all day, and we stumbled upon this waterfall which is right off the highway.
Bridal Veil Falls is located on the south side of Route 189 by the Provo River.
You will see it as you are driving as it is set back off the highway, but the view is not obstructed.
There is a lot of parking, which is complimentary.
At the bottom is where many visitors and families hang out. There are picnic tables and you can enter the water. It is cold and rocky so beware as you cannot run in!
Wear sneakers or hiking shoes to get closer to the fall. The walk gets steep, but it takes only about 5-10 minutes to reach the end. You cannot reach the entire top of the falls, however, the view from the bottom is best.
Quite beautiful isn’t it?
You will only need to drive an hour or less to visit the falls, then you can continue with your day back in Salt Lake City or in nearby towns. There is a ton to see and do in Utah so whip out that GPS and get exploring!
Location: Route 189, near Provo River, Utah.
Drive: 53 minutes from Salt Lake City airport
